Location

About five blocks from North Campus, The Maxxen Athens is located right on the edge of downtown on the corner of Reese St. and N. Newton St.

The Maxxen Athens is close to two fraternity houses, Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Phi Kappa Tau, and is steps away from popular restaurants such as Chuck’s Fish and Paloma Park. The Maxxen’s location also places it near other student living apartments such as Rambler and Georgia Heights.

Amenities

The Maxxen Athens’ amenities include a rooftop pool and patio, an oasis lounge, study spaces on every floor, fire pits, hammocks and a fitness center.

Each unit comes fully furnished with granite countertops, a TV in every living room, wood-style flooring, and a full-size washer and dryer. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom, and large terrace balconies are available in select units.

At the time of publication in January 2024, The Maxxen Athens is a pet-friendly community that allows dogs and cats for a $150 deposit followed by a $25 monthly fee so long as each pet is 100 lbs or less. There also is a 2 pet limit per resident.

Parking

The Maxxen Athens offers assigned parking in a covered resident parking garage for an additional monthly fee.

The Maxxen Athens offers studio, 1×1, 2×2, 3×3, and 4×4 floor plan options. There are large private terrace balconies available in select units for a higher rate.

At the time of publication in January 2024, rates for 2024 – 2025 at The Maxxen Athens range from the $1,100s to over $1,800 per person, per month, depending on unit type. All rates are subject to change. Due to the tier system used by student housing apartments, most apartments raise rates throughout the lease-up season after a certain number of leases are signed.
